Lettuce Introduce Ourselves
Katelyn Staskiewicz is originally from a small village in rural Central Ohio, and found a passion in agriculture while attending The Ohio State University. While earning a Bachelors of Science in Sustainable Plant Systems with a specialization in Horticulture and minor in Entomology, Katelyn gained experience working at the Ornamental Plant Germplasm Center and at research greenhouses at the university.
Post graduation, Katelyn worked as a commercial greenhouse grower before relocating to Texas to look for opportunities in organic and chemical-free growing practices. She became an Assistant Farm Manager for IDEA Public Schools, creating and operating in-ground and hydroponic farms at school campuses that focused on disadvantaged populations to provide fresh, local produce to the cafeterias.
After relocating to Miami and a desire to stay in the growing eco-friendly sector of agriculture, Katelyn is using her expertise to oversee production and labor at Imagine Farms.
