Question 1

How often will I receive my Subscription?

Answer

When you sign up for a subscription, you have the option to receive the delivery/pick up every week or every other week. Deliveries are Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You will receive a notice of your delivery day. Pickups are Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the farm, 9am-6pm. If you need to pick up later in the week, just email us.

Can I order as needed instead of receiving a subscription?

Answer

Of course! Cut off for all ordering of Lettuce Lover boxes is the Friday before delivery/pick up. Select the “A la Carte” button above, or find us at the Farmer’s Market near you.

Question 3

What is the cut off for placing an order for a Lettuce Box?

Answer

The cut off for ordering is Midnight, the Saturday before delivery/pick up the following week. Any orders received after Midnight Friday will be pushed to the next week. Lettuce lover emergency, Romaine calm, email us and we will try our best to accommodate your needs.

How do I change delivery frequency?

Answer

Log into your account > select SUBSCRIPTIONS from the top menu bar > to the right of your subscription, select EDIT > select from the pull down menu under PLAN > click the UPDATE SUBSCRIPTION button. Or, just email us. We will reply with a confirmation.

Question 5

How often am I billed?

Answer

You are billed prior to your next delivery, by roughly one week. If your card fails, you will have the option to update it. We will work hard to make sure you get the greens. And by Greens, we mean actual greens.

Question 6

How do I update my add-ons, switch dressings, add dressings, add lettuce?

Answer

Click LOG IN in the upper right corner of the website screen > click DASHBOARD at the top > from the calendar, select the date you would like the change to begin > from the ORDER SUMMARY, select items to add, then items to delete > click OK. Or, just email us. We will reply with a confirmation.

Question 7

How do I put my subscription on hold?

Answer

Click LOG IN in the upper right corner of the website screen > click DASHBOARD at the top and you will see a calendar with upcoming charges > click on the invoice date just prior to the delivery date you would like to skip. Scroll down to the bottom of that invoice page and select SKIP INSTALLMENT. Or call us and we will handle over the phone.

How do I update my payment information?

Answer

Click LOG IN in the upper right corner of the website screen > click PAYMENT METHODS at the top > add your updated payment method, and click CONTINUE at the bottom. You can also remove outdated payment methods from this page. Or call us and we will handle over the phone.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Answer

Send us an email. Once the cancellation is processed, we will reply with confirmation.

Why are your greens so delicious?

Answer

90% of all lettuce consumed in the US is grown in California and Arizona, it takes 2-4 weeks to make the journey to South Florida, and in the process the greens degrade in flavor and nutrition. Not only does our lettuce taste delicious because it is so fresh; delicate flavors are made possible by our precise controlled environment - it is perfect weather for growing sweet, tender greens 365 days a year at our farms.

Question 11

Do I need to wash my Imagine Farms produce before eating?

Answer

All of our produce is delivered unwashed, not "tripple washed" in sanatizer. While washing is still a personal preference, it is not necessary to rinse your lettuce prior to consuming because our greens are grown in an indoor farm: a controlled environment. We never use pesticides, or sanitizer on our greens and there are no issues with bugs, runoff or pathogens typically found in the field.

Is Imagine Farms Certified Organic?

Answer

An organic certification refers to the health of the soil. As a hydroponic farm, we grow without any soil, so we do not fit into this category. We are committed to delivering healthy, safe and nutritious food free from harsh, undesirable chemicals.

Question 13

What is the best way to store my Imagine Farms greens?

Answer

Lettuce is happiest in cool temperatures. Store your greens in an airtight container in your fridge. Box Greens lettuce is harvested hours (not days or weeks) prior to distribution. Not only can you taste the difference; your greens will last much longer in the fridge than typical store bought greens because they are so fresh.

How is Imagine Farms greens different from traditional field-grown greens?

Answer

As agriculture and technology collide, so has innovation in farming. By utilizing hydroponic (soilless) techniques in a controlled environment while making use of the vertical space, we are able to grow an incredible amount of food. Produce is grown 365 days a year on a relatively small footprint in close proximity to where our customers live, work and play. We’ve localized food production thus eliminating the impact from transporting food across the country and delivering a fresh product that is not only tastier but robust with nutrition. Growing in a controlled environment eliminates the need to use pesticides. Our food is safe from pests, runoff and pathogens typically found in the field where disease is then spread in the sorting process.

How is indoor farming better for the planet?

Answer

We’re giving the earth back to nature. Our farm uses 95% less water than traditional farming methods, produces zero agricultural runoff, without effect to wildlife habitat destruction and is a carbon negative agricultural process. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) completed an analysis in favor of indoor farming outlining the future role of indoor farms to reduce many of the environmental impacts of conventional agriculture.

Can I visit the farm?

Answer

Currently, the farm is closed to live visitors. We host online virtual field trips for students of all ages. We are excited to have you as our guest on a tour, for a dinner, or in a workshop once we are all able to congregate safely in groups.

Question 17

I purchased a container of ‘Happiness’ for a neighbor in need. How does my contribution support the community?

Answer

Our community of lettuce lovers supports neighbors-in-need when purchasing a container to donate through our online store. This produce is handed over to Food Rescuse US or The Urban Oasis Project and included in the Maracuya Project, delivering boxes of fresh fruits and veggies to members of the community that are food insecure.

Question 18

Can I use Food Stamps/SNAP benefits to purchase Imagine Farms produce?

Answer

Box Greens can be purchased using food stamps (SNAP) at both the Legion Park Farmer's Market and the Vizcaya Farmer's Market, made possible by The Urban Oasis Project Florida Access Bucks program. This program doubles SNAP benefits when used to buy fresh Florida fruits and vegetables.
